Gynaecology Posting Experience! |Indian MedSchool Story✨|

Blog19 After 2 months Hiatus,writing this blog because This was a completely new experience. Okay, so this post is all about the place where you would hear the loudest of the cries and Blood spilt like water.Yes, That's true, its about the Labour Room. I was posted in The Gynaecology department from  12th July to 5th August 2022. The duration of the posting was of 3 weeks and It was HECTIC . From learning how to talk to patient to actually seeing a placenta delivery in front of my eyes! In 2nd year You should be aware of how to take history of the patient properly.  Got to see a lot of new borns .They were so tiny(and loud) I remember when we had a class in the casualty and Sir told us to do the Per-Vaginal Examination. That moment I was shit scared. Glad,Sir upon seeing the expressions dropped that idea😂 This posting was so EVENTFUL 😂👏 In my ward leaving exam today, I was assigned a case of female who was going through leaking per vaginum. My 1st year MBBS result is out! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Blog18 Hello to amazing humans out there, who genuinely love checking out my blog even when I don't post regularly. So a big major update, I have finally passed my 1st year! Imagine finally waving a goodbye(not really) to Anatomy books. Finally Making new space for another round of subjects  *okay a lil bit of background story* I was so much apprehensive everyday before my result came because of the little anxious flashbacks that came about what I actually wrote in my examination sheets!🗑️ Anatomy exam went so much of a toss but ,Can you believe ?I scored 200 out of 300 in that! Can't believe I actually don't have to encounter my Anatomy professors who aced the art of making nonsense comments about me. first year was indeed hard and so much I had to bear last year. Talking about the percentage, I scored 69.4% in my proff. Consider it as 70.0% okay!😂😂 That joy doesn't seem to go away really. The moment I remember  the mental breakdown I had on my Biochemis...

Concept of AETCOM in first year MBBS! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Okay, so I am writing this post when I just completed my Foundation Course logbook because obviously this carries marks, And you as an MBBS student  should never fail to fetch score, You getting for extra tad-bits(because MBBS exams speaks for itself😌) So though our "Covid-stuck/ruined ever-so-fine 2020batch" didn't get the opportunity to be a part of Foundation course, writing about it like How the experience would have been, seems kinda made-up for me🤣 I still remember our professors used to say(tease), Foundation course brings a fun side to your Med School life before you actually start in the grind for the academics.  Another concept that is different from the academics is AETCOM ,that aims on the overall intellectual and behavioral aspects of a Doctor.  AETCOM stands for Attitude,Ethics and Communication. Anatomy Practical Exam Experience! |Indian MedSchool Story✨|

Blog10 Okay,  *statutory warning*  To the upcoming medical students, To be prepared for insults you will receive in due course of your MBBS. The beginning starts from ANATOMY! So, my anatomy practical exam gave me the last memory of college for year 2021.Obviously the memory isn't something to brag, but this was one big realisation to start study like hell! My first ever practical Anatomy practical exam was on 23rd Dec2021. The practical comprises of OSPE, then histology Practical and Viva; Embryology Viva and Radiology Viva, Gross anatomy viva, Surface anatomy viva and then Osteology Viva. And lastly you have to go through your Sent-up exam sheets😂  The exam was to begin at 9 and that day I woke up early and reached college early too. The classrooms were locked at that time😌 I sat there in the Cafetaria waiting for the classrooms to open. That day was Shivering cold! How First year really was! Indian MedSchool Story✨

4th Dec2021 The day when, are so called,"Covid-struck/ruined ever-so-fine 2020 Batch with No Freshers and White coat ceremony" finally ended!  Our college started on 2nd Feb2021 and the freshmen year ended today that is 4th Dec2021✨ Though we just went to college for the offline classes for about 5months . The experiences I received are on another level💥.It was indeed a feeling of mixed emotion ,to put forth ,what actually Freshmen year to me was!  Some noteworthy experiences/learnings: 🌟 Getting to see,dissect a real human body! I will never forget my first dissection hall experience to be honest💥 You can check that out on my blog. 🌟 Extracting and performing "bloody practicals" for Physiology ofcourse. Well, Hematology practicals were fun,I must say(My exams are in this month and I have forgotten every practical,not crying😢) 🌟 Experimenting on Urine in those neglected or Study-one-day-before  for exam subject, that is  Biochemistry!
