Gynaecology Posting Experience! |Indian MedSchool Story✨|

Blog19 After 2 months Hiatus,writing this blog because This was a completely new experience. Okay, so this post is all about the place where you would hear the loudest of the cries and Blood spilt like water.Yes, That's true, its about the Labour Room. I was posted in The Gynaecology department from  12th July to 5th August 2022. The duration of the posting was of 3 weeks and It was HECTIC . From learning how to talk to patient to actually seeing a placenta delivery in front of my eyes! In 2nd year You should be aware of how to take history of the patient properly.  Got to see a lot of new borns .They were so tiny(and loud) I remember when we had a class in the casualty and Sir told us to do the Per-Vaginal Examination. That moment I was shit scared. Glad,Sir upon seeing the expressions dropped that idea😂 This posting was so EVENTFUL 😂👏 In my ward leaving exam today, I was assigned a case of female who was going through leaking per vaginum. My 1st year MBBS result is out! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Blog18 Hello to amazing humans out there, who genuinely love checking out my blog even when I don't post regularly. So a big major update, I have finally passed my 1st year! Imagine finally waving a goodbye(not really) to Anatomy books. Finally Making new space for another round of subjects  *okay a lil bit of background story* I was so much apprehensive everyday before my result came because of the little anxious flashbacks that came about what I actually wrote in my examination sheets!🗑️ Anatomy exam went so much of a toss but ,Can you believe ?I scored 200 out of 300 in that! Can't believe I actually don't have to encounter my Anatomy professors who aced the art of making nonsense comments about me. first year was indeed hard and so much I had to bear last year. Talking about the percentage, I scored 69.4% in my proff. Consider it as 70.0% okay!😂😂 That joy doesn't seem to go away really. The moment I remember  the mental breakdown I had on my Biochemis...

First year ends! Practical Exam Edition |Indian MedSchool Story|

I had my proffs done recently and the level of Calm i finally received that I do not have to face Anatomy( goodness gracious If I not end up reappearing🕉) So Physiology Viva was tricky and I was late(as usual) I had my spotting and helped all of my other batchmates😇 Then came the Hematology practicals or " Khooni practicals" I was assigned Differential Leucocyte Count😭 I never performed that in my life, but this time I had to! Lab Staff helped me in the preparation but the slide wasn't even prepared😭 Then I manipulated the readings because I don't want to get any scolding from the HOD or external. I felt happy that External came to take my viva and when she saw my slide she instead of shouting at me, said "It's okay, nevermind".My readings were not in the way It was supposed to be written😭 I don't know what will happen now! 1st proff Postponed! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Blog12 Okay, So first of all "yayyyyyyy!!!!" That feeling of exams getting postponed is another level.Remembering to the stress I had in these days. Crying while memorising Arteries😂😂 So the news was given to me by none-other-than Usha!😂 When i hear about exams getting postponed ,it reminds me of NEET 2020. Now, Exams  have been postponed, I would study with quite less stress. Won't leave Biochemistry to study at last moment. Won't try to completely relax like,not opening books😂 Will study on a regular basis(Hell,Yeah!) All the best to everyone having exams. Physiology Practical Exam Experience! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Blog 8  This blog is in continuation of the previous blog.Make sure to check that out too! So, our practicals started 3 days after our pre-proffs ended.It was our first Experience to take up practical exams and to experience one dreaded full-of-insults and scolding "VIVA".  I guess every science student I meet who happen to knew that I am pursuing MBBS ends up asking " or bta kitne beijjati hui Viva me?"😆🤣🤣 Literally, Viva(s) in medical college is on another level of you to experience how your  professors can turn their back on you🙂 This blog is of my Physiology Practical Exam. How First year really was! Indian MedSchool Story✨

4th Dec2021 The day when, are so called,"Covid-struck/ruined ever-so-fine 2020 Batch with No Freshers and White coat ceremony" finally ended!  Our college started on 2nd Feb2021 and the freshmen year ended today that is 4th Dec2021✨ Though we just went to college for the offline classes for about 5months . The experiences I received are on another level💥.It was indeed a feeling of mixed emotion ,to put forth ,what actually Freshmen year to me was!  Some noteworthy experiences/learnings: 🌟 Getting to see,dissect a real human body! I will never forget my first dissection hall experience to be honest💥 You can check that out on my blog. 🌟 Extracting and performing "bloody practicals" for Physiology ofcourse. How Histology changes the perception of analysing things! |Indian MedSchool Story|

Blog 5 "Histology!" or "Yaar, merko to harr slide ek jaisi hi dikhti hai" subject.  The subject that defines how well you focus & how you focus to get the exact focus on the cell that's being drown in colored pigments.In first year,you deal with the pink and purple. It's an interesting subject until you actually  zone out upon seeing the very first slide put in front of you in the exam😂 I had my Anatomy 2nd semester practical exam recently and even though I had seen the same slides more than 5 times and revised them whole heartedly, I blanked out.  Histology really changes the way you "appreciate" things and how you find the slides "beautiful" just like my professor used to say.  Histology really gives an insight to look upon the organs and tissues microscopically. Blog3 We all as young or even old dread of getting injections.I still remember recent conversation I had with my friend to get covid vaccine done and her reply was,"Injection se hi to darr hai!" So, Ya getting injections and pricking fingers can be a frightful task for some or even memorable one like I had in my first Physiology Hematolgy practical in my first year. The slight prick though gives a chill to the spine. As a first year medical student, You get to experience a whole lot of "Bloody" practicals😂 Someone rightly said,"MBBS khoon maangti hai!" He must be talking about the Physiology Hematology Practicals So, in those practicals, You have to prick your finger and check the various aspects of the experiments. Hello everyone, this is my first ever blog and first attempt at blogging too🤣 So this blog is about what this journey of my blogging be about!Journey of being A Medical Student in India. I am first year MBBS student from Dr.BSA Medical College, Delhi. I started my journey as a Medical student from 2nd Feb2021.
