Okay, 

*statutory warning*

 To the upcoming medical students, To be prepared for insults you will receive in due course of your MBBS. The beginning starts from ANATOMY!

So, my anatomy practical exam gave me the last memory of college for year 2021.Obviously the memory isn't something to brag, but this was one big realisation to start study like hell!

My first ever practical Anatomy practical exam was on 23rd Dec2021.

The practical comprises of OSPE, then histology Practical and Viva; Embryology Viva and Radiology Viva, Gross anatomy viva, Surface anatomy viva and then Osteology Viva. And lastly you have to go through your Sent-up exam sheets😂 

The exam was to begin at 9 and that day I woke up early and reached college early too. The classrooms were locked at that time😌 I sat there in the Cafetaria waiting for the classrooms to open. That day was Shivering cold! But then again, The exam didn't even begin till half an hour😑 I still remember the very feeling of going through the whole anatomy half an hour before exam🤣🤣

Okay, first I had my OSPE exam, It comprises of 10 Histology slides, Gross anatomy specimens,Embryology models and Radiographs.

You will be given 1 minute to see the slide,identify it and answer the question given with the slide. Believe me, This whole process have made me realise how long or how short One minute can be!😌

The Histology OSPE went good, way better than others🤣 One big realisation, the subjects you hate in the beginning can be the subjects that can let you score well at the end of the year,if you start paying heed to them!

Then I had my OSPE of Gross Anatomy and Radiographs. That went pretty well.

Then came Histology Practical where you will be given 2 slides in a hard bound packet. One has to identify them,write their features and Draw them. I was lucky this time, I got the Slides of Cardiac Muscle and Trachea(Thank You Usha for making me memorise this one day before)

I identified that slide correctly and get it checked by my professor as well.

*Insults approaching*

The slides have to be drawn in the circle to make it look more similar to the image you see in Microscope. At that time, I didn't have any compass or something to make circle from. I asked my professor to ask in the class if any classmate of mine can share the compass with me(Regrets)

My professor shouted at me😑 looking at my pouch stating," Ye kya shaving kit le ke ghum rahe ho,isme zarurat ka samaan kyu nai rakhte!"

At that moment I realised how important was it to socialise with your batchmates Because Usha's roll no. 113 and not 101😑

I was literally regretting why even I asked my professor.

Then, In that same pouch(now a shaving kit) I used my Protractor to draw circle.

 *Why didn't I used my brain before?*

Then was called for viva, I answered the questions well(I suppose)😊

Then I was called for the Embryology and Surface Anatomy viva. It went pretty good too. *proud*

Then Came one dreaded Osteology! 

In this whole set, you have to pick one bone and answer via demonstrating it to the professor.

There were 3 more batchmates of mine, in that same slot. The moment our professor told us to pick up bone, The hustle started, to pick up the easiest or the bone with the least no. of attachments😂 Noone in the four of us should get the same bone  ,was the rule.

I studied Femur, Humerus and Sternum a day before.Luckily I got those, I picked Sternum and Humerus in such a hurry😂 all of those Standing was in awe😂

I picked up Humerus and Sternum.

I had to give Viva after 2 of my batchmates. In that time, I was revising all the things inside my head that I studied last night. I was happy that I can answer the questions.Then came my turn(why even?)😌

Little did i know, Sir would ask something that wasn't even in the diagram I studied from😭

Professor told me to mark the ligaments attachments of Shoulder Joint 

*Pain!* *Brain Freeze*

I couldn't even answer that because that wasn't I studied,in that bone😭

I was shook in silence!

Professor then answered some other questions but the shock of not knowing the very first question made my self-esteem so low.I couldn't answer the questions I knew.

Then professor told me to demonstrate the attachments of Sternum Bone.

I remebered them. I told Sir on the  posterior surface superiorly lies Sternohyoid muscle. Professor interrupted😭 "Sternohyoid upar hoti hai ya Sternothyroid?"

Even Though I knew the exact sequence but I was so low in self-confidence after the Humerus incident. I said Sir,"Sternohyoid upar hoti hai"

Sir said,"pkka?"

*😭😭😭😭*

I was so dumstruck That I knew I lost it!😭

I said "Sir,I don't know"

Even Though I knew that Sir was just testing my confidence level, I lost it!

Then Sir asked me other questions.Though I answered them but still couldn't utter a word with utmost confidence.

Sir at last, lectured me to Start studying as only 1 month is left for proffs. To pay heed to my parents paying this much fees to this college to letting me study medical.

*mandatory family occupation realisation to make kids  study in distress*

Then Came my turn for Gross Anatomy, I won't say I didn't answered the questions well. But well, I answered here😂

Then Came Surface Anatomy Viva, I actually didn't prepare this so Deep down I knew I won't be able to answer anything. All thanks to other batchmates who kept the viva running😂

I got scolded here as well But here I answered (I answered!)  "Sir maine padha to sab tha pr mai abhi bhul gayi!"

😂😂

Then came the turn for the Embryology and Radiology Viva. I performed good here. Professor was impressed though!😂

After having much Hectic day, We had to see our Written exams sheets.Let's not talk about grades😂

So that was all, for the one dreaded Anatomy Viva!
